I'll admit that I picked up the series because the CW cancelled the show. It was my guilty pleasure and made me far less cringe than Girls (which I don't know why I'm still watching and why it got pick up for a second season. Well.)

The book was ok, I guess. Depressed teenagers tend to make me sad and don't finish books, but Cassie is kind of selfless and kind and anyone who had to move across the country at that age is entitled to feel a little down.

I liked Faye too, in a I-hope-you-suffer-one-day kind of way. I want to know what happens to everyone, though there's a lot of characters, too many to know very much about anyone in such a short book.

The thing is I thought my epub file was broken because the book ended so abruptly. It's very short, and ends with a cliffhanger that of course makes you want to pick up what follows. Well played L.J. Smith!
