Update: There is apparently a new author on the same track with a new fiction series starting with Paris to Die For.

I wasn't particularly interested when The Spy Wore Red came out but, now that I've read it, I intend to read the others in the series.

The Spy Wore Red really captures the way people were thinking about the world in the 1940's and I enjoyed reading it but I have the feeling that the specifics about Aline, The Countess of Romanones's, life and adventures are about 3/4 fantasy. Since I worked for an author for a while and I know how they get their cover blurbs I wasn't convinced by William J. Casey calling her "my colleague." So how much of her undercover life as a fashionista spy is true?
