I applaud the author, Steve Mizera, for the courage it must have taken to share his life story! To have the opportunity to read about his painful childhood and early years in the Orphanage and Boy's Home, is an experience to view life 'behind closed doors' of these institutions, that some may feel should remain buried in the past! The brief glimpses that are shared with the reader were tastefully written, as subjects of abuse and molestation can easily be utilized in a much more graphic manner that would be extremely distasteful to read!
The many adventures of the author's life, the joy he was able to obtain after such a long journey, is a true testament to the spirit of mankind and the power of one's belief in a higher power! I enjoyed how the author informed the reader of facts surrounding the Church of various religions, the 'honesty' of our Justice system along with Government agencies and the Law! A truly informative read throughout Mr. Mizera's journey!
I hope that the title does not put off some readers, the book is about so much more! I believe that the author appears to feel that his entire life sprouted from the negative experiences of his youth, it may be true that factors of his youth shadowed his life up until today. I also believe that the hardships he endured/survived, the negative choices/consequences he lived with, allowed him to see the beauty of the simple things in life we all take for granted: friendship, freedom and the sense of belonging/family.
I sincerely thank the author for the opportunity to share his journey! A huge thank you to Goodreads/First Reads for my free copy of Pedophilia:A Cause and A Cure!

Steve Mizera Thanks for the heartfelt review of my unbelievable autobiography. At the age of 72 I have nothing to hide and hope my writing will prevent child abuse.
