really liked it
bookshelves: memoir-biography, won-on-goodreads

I was fortunate to win a copy of this book through goodreads.

I remember when "The Last Lecture" went viral on you tube, and Randy Pausch was everywhere. He seemed to upbeat and positive and amazed me with his attitude. I really looked forward to reading this book, written by his widow.

We learn about their courtship, his diagnosis and treatment, and of course his death. You will smile, your heart will ache, you will cry. There are some shockingly brave revelations in this book, which helps you understand the "real" side of battling cancer, whether it is as a patient or as a caregiver. The author advocates for caregivers repeatedly, and this is much needed.

Mostly though, you will realize that if life can go on for Ms. Pausch it can go on for anyone, really. The book ends on an uplifting note and is a great testament of the human spirit.
