First appearances mean alot. I love the title of this book. It makes you want to pick it up and flip through the pages. However, the cover art is just dumb. It has nothing to do with the storyline. And it made it difficult to carry around in public or read in front of my kids.

I think Mr. Newton is a very descriptive writer. He does an excellent job describing all the aspects of hell and provides the reader with a good picture in their mind of the surroundings Redpool finds himself in when he descends into hell. The characters are unique and come with their own quirks, just like living people. Redpool finds himself on the wrong side of a deceptive plot to undermine both his position and Satan himself. The storyline was refreshing. You don't see many people write stories about hell or the inner workings. However, there were parts that I found it hard to get through and times I thought the story dragged a little.
