Toryssa's review
The Lemon Eaters by Jerry Sohl
The concept of this book is a group of people coming together for a "Weekend". The weekend is a form of group therapy that is meant to help people live authentically, basically. They are there to talk, and to be honest, and to come out of the weekend changed for the better.
While I enjoy this concept, strangers thrown together and their interactions, the irreverence was very much mellowed by time (book was published in 1969). Maybe it's because of this that the story itself didn't strike me as anything new, or exciting.
I also didn't like the ending. I found it very unsatisfying as a reader.
