World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks
I didn't expect to like this book, mostly because it's about zombies attacking the earth. And parts of it were gross and a lot of it was sad, as I expected. But what was interesting was how realistic the reactions of people (and entire nations) seemed. Basically the author is someone who had done a lot of research on the "Zombie War" and had individual stories that didn't necessarily fit into the war and recovery statistics. You'll read a chapter and think "That's EXACTLY what North Korea would do if zombies were to attack!" I also thought a lot about how different people and different governments handle mass crisis, and this book provided some interesting options.
