Tena's review
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne
Very powerful book, easy to read. I read this book in one day. I believe it is a young adult fiction title. The book is written from the perspective of a 9 year old boy whose father is a high ranking officer in Hitler's army. Their family moves to Auswich so his father can manage the camp there. The book revolves around Bruno's feelings on moving away from his friends in Berlin and on the unusual friendship he forms at his new home in "outs-with". Heartbreaking and eye-opening view of this period in history thru a small child's eyes. I would highly recommend it.
