This sure is a pretty book, with an embossed cover, matte board pages, and simple, flat pictures on a white background. Each page highlights a color, with 20 tiles in various shades of that color, and an image opposite using some of the colors. I don't think a lot of color concept books address shades, so that's a cool new twist. I wish the book's pictures had actually used all 20 colors, but it doesn't look like that's the case.

The color names are fun (Macaroni and Cheese Orange, Tongue Pink, Wet Sidewalk Gray), although they're from the publisher and not Pantone, which seems odd. Naming your own colors would be a fun extension activity, and you can start with the final end page illustration.
