I'll just say it right up front. I love reading Nelson DeMille novels. There's something about his particular writing style that draws me in. So of course, I loved reading The Gate House. And I had read The Gold Coast years ago, so I was curious to see how the sequel went.
Once I finished the book and the euphoria wore off, and the glaze over my eyes faded, I realized in hindsight that not much happened in the 600 plus pages. But I don't much care. I love reading Nelson DeMille novels.
(Dear God! Is that how people feel about Clive Cussler?? *shudder*)

Laura Dragon I know what you mean. I love everything Nelson writes. And as a Long Islander, it all is so familiar. He keeps the geographical descriptions and idiosyncrasies genuine.
