This was my first Sherlock Holmes book that I have ever read. I found it to be quite entertaining. I didn't have a clue as to who the murderer was until it was told at the end. I had a little trouble with the narrative at first, but once that I had the voice down, the book was very easy to keep reading.

I would like to read more by this author as he made Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson come to life and I felt like I had dropped back in time when there were horse and buggies driving about.
