Mary Ann's review
Q & A by Vikas Swarup
Loved it. I read the review of the movie, Slumdog Millionaire, that was based on this book, and knew I had to read it.
There's a great device--questions on a game show--for moving the plot along, and it's a great ride. In a couple of places it gets to be a little hard to follow, but that doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the book. Nothing profound, but lots of characters, relationships, and action. And, corny though it is, a happy ending. If it had been set to music, would it have made a good Bollywood movie? Probably.
