Consider the Lobster: And Other Essays by David Foster Wallace
I just finished reading Consider the Lobster by David Foster Wallace. What I'm left with is an absolute amazement at the immense amounts of knowledge related in the essays. It's like DFW had - or did enough research - to fill a set of encyclopedias on each topic, and then whittled it down to the presented short-storyish length.

When I think of this book, I think of being in a tent with rain pouring down. And I think of a few choice items from the porn industry, which I read about between rounds of Skip-Bo.
Now I have to read this book! What a great review. Have you read/liked other David Foster Wallace books?
This is the first book I read by DFW, Sally. I'm kind of intrigued to see what his fictional work is like, but I don't know if I'm ready for Infinite Jest...
