Taka's review
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
Really Good--
This is my first sci-fi since I started reading seriously two years ago. The story is, to say the least, engaging with all the necessary elements that make a good, entertaining, and satisfying story. It's got a good beginning, action-filled middle, and a neat ending. The "conflict" escalates smoothly without any slow parts or forced development. Everything happens out of necessity; it's an admirable instance of masterful story-telling.
There's not much else to say other than that it does a superb job of creating a continuous fictive dream.
