Marriage of Mercy

This takes place during the war of 1812. The hero is an American POW locked up in Dartmoor prison, who receives parole in his captain's place. The hows are complicated and the whys are part of the story, but he has to be in the heroine's custody at all times--which means he lives in her house and goes to work with her at the baker's. It's a lovely little story. I enjoyed it.
