This was quite a good book. I feel like I can relate to how Melinda acted and felt at certain point of the novel, especially when I was her age. I think the main reason I gave it 3 stars is because right from the beginning I knew what had happened and that isn't really exciting. Some reviewers here say they got hints when the author wrote the scene with the frog dissection but it wasn't hard to figure out after the first few pages. I didn't really like the ending either, when Andy attacked Melinda. Usually I see men like that as sinister and cunning but he attacked her at school where teachers and students were present. It was an easy way for him to get caught but in real life women get abused and raped and the men never get caught, especially not that easily. I also hated how it didn't explain the consequences that Andy faced, it just ended.
