** spoiler alert ** I love mermaid stories. I love obscure mythology stories. This has a bit of both as well as a very imaginative new world in the grey. What more can I ask? I will anxiously be waiting for the next story. In this case, the bad guy is the good guy is the bad guy. I actually went to sleep dreaming of the action in this book. As usual, Kat Richardson paints a creatively accurate picture of Seattle. I visited Seattle and one of the top of my list of things to do was to see the areas that she writes about in her book. As a result, I had a very real feel for what was going on in this book and I could imagine the mermaid's appearance in this book and what was going on. I couldn't wait to see what Father Otter's decisions would be with regard to his wayward kin. I want more of Solis and his family, especially his crazy mother in law and wife.
