Book #1 in the "Dead End Job" cozy mystery series featuring Helen Hawthorne. Helen has run away from her old life, only to find herself in the middle of nasty business in the new life she is trying to make for herself. As the new salesclerk at the ultra-exclusive Florida dress shop, Juliana's, Helen soon picks up on the idea that her supervisor might also be dabbling in some money-skimming and drug dealing. And quite possibly arranging for hitmen, which wouldn't be difficult considering so many of the fashionable female customers have mob-connected boyfriends.

What a fun read! Good and interesting characters, from Helen to the ritzy store customers to Helen's much-less-ritzy neighbors at her apartment building. Good pacing, great attention to detail, and a nice little mystery. I love Elaine Viets' work, and "Shop Till You Drop" is no exception.
