I have read this book so many times, and yet it never seems to get old. It tells about an expedition to the summit of mount Everest that ended in disaster. Some well known names in the mountain climbing world died during this trip to the peak, and it is a well written account that gently reminds us that no matter how advanced man may become, mother nature still holds all the cards.
