it was amazing
bookshelves: 2004-2008, 1985-2004-for-funsies, non-fiction, favorites
Recommended for: people who like pop-culture criticism, self-importance and cocoa puffs
Read in June, 2005 , read count: 1 all-the-way-through, various essays numerous times

Oh, gosh. What didn't I learn from this book. For starters, John Cusack and Coldplay are responsible for every failed relationship Chuck Klosterman, or any other thirty-something straight guy, has ever had. Guns 'N' Roses coverbands are still pretty cool. The Sims is addictive and shows us just how materially obsessed and co-dependent we really are. Oh, and that Chuck Klosterman looks eerily like a red-headed version of my ex-boyfriend. Strange.
