Native Islander youth and young aristocrat find themselves the only survivors on a Pacific Island after a Tsunami. They unite to piece together the Nation, each dealing with their divergent beliefs and upbringing. Religion is a major theme here as Mau, the native boy, deals with his anger at his gods. There's a lot to chew on here, but the story is also funny and charming.
