this book was phenomenal however, it did have its ups and downs you do learn a lot about horse racing and a time in horseracing history that will probably never be repeated again. I did enjoy learning a lot of the lingo that goes with horseracing and breeding and a lot of the popular races that are mentioned.

The pictures and secretariats racing record and the history of Claiborne Farms really give to the book and when they talk about the races you almost have to read it like you're at the horse race and he did a very vivid picture of what actually took place without being there.

So all in all this was an average book with a lot of detail that the movie leaves out I think anyone that enjoys horses will enjoy this book and will learn a lot about the industry I'm sure a lot has changed since secretariats time but the concepts still remain the same.
