On the back of the book it says, “Writing with a pace and intensity surpassing even her own greatest work…” Believe it.

The story opens with a bang. Mike Bordwin, head master of a private boarding school is handed a pornographic video tape involving his students. His mistake, at first, seems to be protecting the school instead of turning the tape over to the authorities.

For half of the story, this is what I thought the book was about. Jacqueline Barnard, a researcher from the University of Vermont interviews the people - students, staff, parents - about the events leading up to the night that destroyed so many lives. The interviews were for a study of alcohol and male behaviors in secondary schools.

Each character is like a piece of the puzzle. In their own words, each will tell their own story, taking the reader closer to events leading up to that night. It is a book you will not want to put down.
