Belsky, Dick - 4th in Jenny McKay series

Manhattan is caught in the grip of a heat wave--and a shocking homicide. The explosive news of Katie Thomas, killed while walking her dog in Central Park, has even jaded New Yorkers outraged by the crime in their streets--they're mad as hell and they're not going to take it anymore. When a homeless man is arrested for the murder, life goes back to normal (for New York, anyway), and Katie Thomas becomes just another big-city statistic. Until TV news reporter Jenny McKay uncovers the story behind the story: the woman found in Central Park wasn't really Katie Thomas.

Another very good book in a very good series.
