liked it

Reading this was like being hit in the head with the foreshadowing 2x4. BAD things ahead! BAD things happen! BADNESSS abounds! Watch out, BAD SAD events! Okay, I get it, this isn't a happy novel. It is well written, although for me it was a bit over the top with the metaphors and similies, and did I mention, FORESHADOWING. The back and forth timeline between the twins' childhood and adulthood is well done. I've always disliked the Booker prize winners, and vowed not to read one again, and then I did, and I still don't like them. If it says, "Booker prize winner," the subtext is, "Rebecca wont like it."

Karen Rebecca, I'll be interested to hear what you think of this book. I read it several years ago, when it first came out. Will look forward to your comments!
