Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife by Mary Roach
It's about a woman in search of answers about life after death who does some "soul searching". She travels to India, England, and a couple of American Universities to speak with mystics, professors, and in one case the surviving relatives of a supposedly undead man who visited his son and told him that he had left his real will sewn into his coat pocket. i hesitated to give this book a 4 because it's not quite as satisfying as i was expecting it to be. However, it's one of a kind, and the author is funny. A couple of the studies that she investigates are incomplete, and perhaps if she had waited to publish the book in a couple of years she would have revealed more interesting stuff. It might have been a tactic that will result in a Spook II, though.
