The Innocent by Ian McEwan
I am not sure how I feel about this book. A grim tale for sure and a lot of detail where detail was probably not needed. I would have liked more of a storyline..besides the romantic interest that seemed to be the center of the story. I was feeling as if this book was a complete waste until the very last pages. The end did bring a sense of closure as well as a sense of hope..which was not always obvious while reading the other pages. I have read other books by McEwan and would recommend them over this one.
