really liked it
bookshelves: 8-monster, manga-total-volumes

I was hesitant to give this series a try, as psychological horror isn't exactly my genre of choice and because Monster is so different from most manga I've read. But now I'm a little annoyed with myself for holding off on this series for so long despite the high recommendations it's been given. Once begun, I found myself instantly immersed in the world of Dr. Tenma, a brilliant neurosurgeon who is finding himself caught up in hospital politics and who is also responsible for saving the life of a young boy shot through the head, an act that may prove integral to the title of the series. Intrigued to say the least, I'm looking forward to the next volume.
