Behind Rebel Lines: The Incredible Story of Emma Edmonds, Civil War Spy - by Seymour Reit

This was a book that I could not put down. It was a fast pace book about a young woman Emma Edmonds who didn't want to live a simple life. She dreamed of adventure and taking risks and that she did when the opportunity came her way via the Civil War. Emma disguised herself as a male by entering the military as Frank Thompson. Soon the Union army were seeking volunteers for someone daring to become a spy. Emma soon became a master of disguises as she took on the various missions to obtained secret documents that would benefit the Union.
