Randy Susan Meyers' debut The Murderer's Daughter was a big surprise for me. I enjoyed it much better than I expected. The story depicts how two people who suffer a similar tragedy may handle things so differently. I thought the characters were well-written, and my heart went out to both daughters. I would read more by this author. 4 stars.

Interesting passage:

Discussion about the legal system: "The starring roles belonged to the judges, the criminals, and the lawyers....Victims and their advocates were merely extras." Kind of sad to me.
