The Killing Room by Peter May
I think this is his best novel in the series. It really picked up. I don't like how he builds up everything and rushes the endings but it still had me hooked. The character development was good (less rude American Margaret Campbell thank gawd!) but the mystery was interesting along with the CSI aspect.
