YAY!! Charlaine has brought Sookie somewhat back to her old self. MUCH better than the last book. Of course, my grocery list was better than the last book.

That being said, this was not a terribly great book. It was the obvious beginning of the end/wrapup of the series. Not much happened, no real surprises, and lots of boring details considering all of this happened in just a few days.

The guys. Really? Are they all in love with Sookie? It's like an Anita Blake book, without all the sex. They've become pretty two dimensional, just repeating the same things over and over. I admit, that I was sort of hoping Eric would be killed in this book, just to shake things up a bit.

I'm sad about the decline of the series, but I'm ready for the final book so it can all be wrapped up and everyone will live happily ever after (yawn)
