really liked it
bookshelves: challenge-potential, young-critics-potential

How can you not love a nanny who considers uniforms and homework torture, who loves chocolate in any form, at any time and in copious amounts, and who has serious pie issues (but only for her own)? She also has a sketchy circus background, including an adopted Russian bear.
Complete with a careless and clueless father and possibly dead mother, this follows in the footsteps of other odd/subversive rescuing adult figures: Mrs. Piggle Wiggle, Nurse Matilda (aka Nanny McPhee), Miss Honey, etc.
Very satisfying, parts needed to be read out loud to passersby (e.g. when the aunt sings, several wrong guesses as to what the noise might be). Recommend to Dahl fans.
