As a whole the anthology was great, there seemed to be a very good understanding about the world in which it was developing and the stories had consistency and the world was rich in details.

However, to be a world-wright is not to be a story teller and there was a story among the anthology that I did not like at all. It was a real turn off. It rambled, it preached, it was particularly distasteful to read, and very insulting. Truly, had the other stories not pulled off the weight of this anthology, I would have probably given the whole anthology a one-star rating. It was that bad.

The rest of the stories were great, so great that they were able to overcome that failure. My recommendation is that anyone interested read this book and admit that 3 wonderful stories out 4 is a really good statistic for such a daunting endeavor.
