I enjoyed this book. I had previously watched the film and didn't really understand what the point of it was. The book is more of a character sketch. It didn't have the classic plot development that is present in most novels. I found that this was much more understandable and easy to accept as a book than a film.
I think I enjoyed the short stories as much or more than the novel. They were written using a similar writing style as "Breakfast at Tiffany's." I really enjoy Capote's ability to create such realistic characters. They aren't just characters, they are people.
