Chris's review
Jennifer Government by Max Barry
So far reading others reviews I see a lot of criticism on the literary value of this book.
I didn't pick this up expecting it to be Orwell, Fitzgerald, any of the others greats.
I choose to read this book because it has an interesting story arch(not original, but interesting.) I didn't struggle through it, it was well written, and had developed characters.
I related to the story because I have felt anger against blind consumerism. I enjoyed it because it wasn't deep and in need of great interpretation. I'll read Gibson, Sterling, or Stephenson for satisfying those needs.
Jennifer Government hit all the right spots. it was written in a way that lent to the plight of those the author was spoofing. Short, quick insights into the story then flash to the next subject.
