Paris, I Love You but You're Bringing Me Down

Laughed hysterically for the first 50 pages and never tired of the complications presented by expatriate life, but if this were a love story, the plot would be: boy loves city, boy gets city, boy decides city is way too difficult and goes home. Reading this book back-to-back with the far more nostalgic PARIS TO THE MOON should remove all delusions about self-transformation by exile.
