Stacey's review
A Girl Named Zippy by Haven Kimmel
It was refreshing to read a happy memoir. I found the beginning laugh-out-loud funny. Actually, truth be told, William read this while waiting for me to relinquish another, and had already read most of the funny parts out loud to me-- I think he even snorted once. (side note--sometimes Emma snorts when she is laughing and then sh keeps pointing to her nose and laughing harder, 'I snorted, I snorted'--she gets that from William)
At some point I became a little disenchanted. Things became too busy on the home front and I am anxious to read 'Enna Burning.' I can't exactly blame Zippy for my lost interest. One story looked as though it was turning sour, and truthfully, she turned it around and was kind, but the impression remained.
