Fast-paced and with enough excitement to keep me reading, but ultimately there was something about this book that didn't quite work for me.

The character of Andrea felt completely flat (unfortunately, as I suspect we were meant to care about her fate) and there was far, far, far too much talk about the tracers.

On the plus side, I learned some things about American history that I hadn't known before, and I guess that as a way to get children interested in history, this series should work rather well - they don't necessarily make the best time-travel adventure books ever, but they're certainly fun to read and learn through.

Dzemo Sh I totally agree about Andrea. She was just flat out boring.
