This is a great book! Right now, I’m still reading it but I’m almost done. At the beginning, Bud is a little 10 year old boy that has no mom and has no idea where his dad is. This is how it starts; Bud is still at Home when one of the caseworkers told him he was going to the Amoses house. As he was there, the son of the Amoses lied on Bud. He told his parents that he hurt him really bad. Since he told them that, the Mrs.Amoses made Bud sleep outside in the shed. It was pitch black in the shed and very dirty. Bud didn’t know if he could sleep right away, but he did anyways. He woke up pretty early and decided to get revenge. He snuck inside the kitchen window and came up with a plan. He was about to shoot them with a shotgun but instead he just poured hot water on the son. He wet the bed, and Mrs.Amoses hated bed wetters! When he was done he grabbed his suitcase that he is very protective of and started a run away. He did a lot to find a home. So he just planned to walk from Flint (his home town) to Grand Rapids (the town his father lived in). He wanted to go find his dad and live with him. He started walking towards there. About 2 in the morning, a car stopped and asked questions and even offered some food. The stranger asked to take him where Bud was going and took him there. There are a lot of other little details but I don’t want to give them away the book to find them out and the end of the book! Believe me, you WILL NOT be disappointed.
