** spoiler alert ** Overall, I was disappointed. At over 500 pages reading this book was a commitment and I had some issues with probability. It's the bottom of the ninth in a college championship baseball game that is important enough to be covered by ESPN. The third batter scheduled to hit is told that his lover has died just minutes before he is to go up to bat. Really? Wouldn't it be better timing just to wait until the game is over? But then our "hero" wouldn't have a chance to take his place at bat and score the winning run which he will then forget in an amnesiac episode. Then the dead lover is dug from his grave in the middle of the night so his body can be dumped in the middle of a lake. Really? Couldn't the body have been legally exhumed?
