Way of the Wolf (The Vampire Earth, Book 1) by E.E. Knight (Goodreads author!)
Found this book and its series while at Borders one day. Good light Sci-Fi/Vampire/End of World reading. The really bad thing is that vampires transfer auras of the people that they kill to their masters. I didnt like this premise and it never gets explained. But the book as a whole is decent.
