I was all prepared to give this 5 stars, chugging along to the tune of "This-is-GREAT!, This-is-GREAT!, This-is-GREAT!" (that's the noise my brain makes when it thinks something is great) but then it slowed down at the end (or maybe I was just sleepy when I finished it) and so it gets 4 stars.

It is NUTS to think that there were people living on Martha's Vineyard on the 1600s though. I mean, I'm so used to thinking of us as a young nation, and of course those folks were English not American, but still. THAT'S A LONG FREAKING TIME AGO.

Excellent language, excellent book. Read it if you want to consider the idea of right and wrong against a backdrop of god-fearing colonists and colonist-fearing Indians.
