Truly awful, hollow writing that inspires no engagement or investment. No 15-year-old talks or thinks like this sad narrator. I'd call him a Mary Sue, but that implies identification with him. It's pretty clear that this was published because some editor thought the combination of internet name recognition plus gimmicky sideshow pictures would be marketable. The worst part is that the book seems to promise not just suspense but some sort of interesting plot. Nope.
