I do like the graphic autobiographical genre. Also, a fan of Fun Home and the Dyke cartoon strip by Bechdel. This was less about her mother than her own struggles to be an adult and separate from her mother. There is also a lot more text than drawings in this installment. Heavy on Virginia Woolf and a child psychologist named Winnicott that I'd never heard of (no shock there). She covers her intense therapy and struggles as mirrored by Woolf and Winnicott. A bit heavy going sometimes and I wished I'd read To the Lighthouse before I started. I hope there is more to come from Bechdel. Always interesting to get a peek at the inside lives of others.
