Laura and Charlie Rider live on a small farm in between Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the small town of Hartley. They do landscaping and also write a newsletter. After being married for 12 years with great and frequent sex, Laura has decided she is done with it. A newcomer has moved in who hosts a radio talkshow and whose husband is a judge. Laura decides her husband, Charlie, should befriend this talk show hostess, who is much admired by Laura. Her husband runs into her during an "alien siting" on the side of the road, and there ensues a long email correspondence between the two, with his wife also secretly participating. There are some very funny lines in this short, light novel. A quick and easy read.
