Four and 3/4 stars.
We return to find Katniss now living back in District 12 in the Victor's Village with her mother and Prim, her little sister, and no longer in a daily struggle to feed herself and her family due to her new wealth from winning the Hunger Games. She is also trying to figure out her feelings for Peeta, her fellow victor, and Gale, her childhood BFF. But the government (President Snow in particular) is a constant problem and getting more and more odious as it feels the need to prove absolute power over all of Panem. Rumors and stirrings of uprisings in certain districts cause the Peacekeepers to dole out severe punishments more and more often.
I find that I can't comment any more without giving away spoilers and surprises- suffice to say that LOTS happens and the very last page leaves you hanging....so now I HAVE to read book #3 even if I didn't want to....which of course, I do....

P.S. I saw the movie "Hunger Games" and was not impressed. I felt it was extremely watered down and glossed over major points of the book. The whole time I was noticing all the differences. If they make movies of books 2 and 3, I will not be watching.
