it was amazing

I enjoyed finally reading this American classic. Though the author does generalize about African Americans and seems to insinuate that slavery was cruel especially to those slaves that had whiter skin it was still gave a very shocking and realistic portrayal of the evils of slavery. Especially shocking was how slave traders cruelly separated families, taking children away from their mothers.
