I'm a big Jonathan Maberry fan and a big Joe Ledger fan... and I must say that "Assassin's Code" was undoubtedly my favorite novel in the Ledger series and possibly my favorite novel by Maberry. For as corny as current media has concocted stories about vampires, Maberry does an amazing job on portraying the violent and masochistic side of an eerie vampire race.

Ledger is such a badass, and I have really come to like and appreciate all of the characters in this series - from Mr. Church to Circe to Top to Ghost to Toys. One character introduction that got me really excited was that of Violin. Echo Team and the Mothers should provide an outrageous alliance in future Ledger books (hopefully).

Some of the scenes really caught my attention. Yet, my favorite Joe Ledger moment so far was that in which he was discussing photography with Jamsheed - I felt like that narrative truly brought Joe Ledger to life. Maberry put that together superbly.
