My Rating: 1.5/5 stars

I got this as a Christmas present from my aunt last year, and I was so excited to read it. I loved the musical, so I figured that WICKED, the novel would be just as good. I thought wrong.

It might have been the fact that I'm too young to understand the language in the book, but I didn't enjoy WICKED one bit. The book was boring, and it was a slow and tedious read. I ended up forcing myself to read it just for the sake of getting a review up and moving on to the next book on my list. It was so confusing, and honestly, I thought it was kinda bad.

I did, however, like Maguire's writing style; I expected it to just focusing on Elphaba's point of view, but he wrote the story in a birds-eye point of view. I also really liked reading about Glinda; she's adorable. I will continue to keep this book and maybe reread it in a few years, when I understand things better.

What's next on my reading list? PRETTY LITTLE LIARS by Sara Shepard.
